Steven Stolen has been widely praised for his stylish and distinctive interpretations of Baroque oratorio, contemporary music and solo chamber music repertoire. He has appeared with orchestras throughout North America including the National Symphony Orchestra, the San Francisco and St. Louis symphonies and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra. Mr. Stolen has performed more than 15 operatic and stage roles - ranging from the title character in Romberg's The Student Prince to Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte with important regional opera companies. A native of Iowa, Mr. Stolen has been the recipient of numerous awards including winning the prestigious Erwin Bodky Competition of the Boston Early Music Festival, and was recently included among the Indianapolis Star's "People to Watch."
