One Nation
Now in its twelfth year, One Nation is a unique musical and cultural partnership between The Phoenix Symphony and the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. This program enhances the fundamental music programs of the Community’s elementary and high schools and builds relationships between Symphony musicians and students. Symphony musicians provide private and group music lessons to students during the school day; teach after school music classes; and provide recital coaching to prepare students for public performances. Students, their families, and school faculty are also given free tickets to attend concerts at Symphony Hall, which builds a broader sense of community, and affords students the opportunity to see their instructors in a different light as professional musicians.
¡Abraze La Música!
¡Abraze La Música! (Embrace the Music) is a partnership between The Phoenix Symphony and Rosie's House, a free music academy for inner city youth in downtown Phoenix. Throughout the school year, The Phoenix Symphony brings a variety of guest artists, musicians and conductors to Rosie’s House for clinics and discussions about music, the dedication needed to become a professional musician, and the importance of accomplishing one's goals. Students and their families are also provided free tickets to attend concerts at Symphony Hall. For more information on Rosie’s House, please visit www.rosieshouse.org.
