Ashleigh Guida

Ashleigh GuidaAshleigh Guida, an Arizona native, is thrilled to be part the Phoenix Symphony's 2011-2012 season. As an active member with Arizona Opera, she can be seen in the ensemble of Aida, and previously in the ensembles of Madama Butterfly, Faust, Cavalleria Rusticana, I Pagliacci, La Traviata, and Macbeth. Ms. Guida is currently finishing her Performer's Diploma program at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music under the tutelage of Patrica Stiles.  During her time at IU, she performed the roles of Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia and Signora Naccarelli in the collegiate premiere of The Light in the Piazza.  She received her undergraduate degree in voice from the University of Arizona as a student of Faye Robinson, where she performed the roles of Mariane in Tartuffe, Alma March in Little Women, and Mrs. Nolan in The Medium. While at the U of A she was a Medici Scholar, the recipient of the Presser Scholarship, as well as the Gorin Memorial Award. She has received a Metropolitan Opera National Council Audition Encouragement Award (Arizona District) and was the winner of the Arizona NATS competition in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
