Lindsey Geroux
Lindsey Geroux is absolutely thrilled not only to be making her Phoenix Symphony debut, but her ‘symphonic soloist engagement’ debut to boot! Lindsey is a recent graduate of Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute of Design and the Arts; where she earned a BM in Music Theatre. She studied with Tenor, David Britton, and even got a chance to share the stage with him during her last semester, in Lyric Opera Theatre’s production of Into the Woods, in which she played the role of The “Baker’s Wife”. She was seen earlier that year as “Martha” in The Secret Garden, and the year before that, she claimed the ‘Best Supporting Actress’ Ari”Zoni”Theatre Award for her portrayal of “Magenta” in The Rocky Horror Show. Lindsey has learned the part of The “Beggar Woman” in Sweeney Todd and has been seen in LOT’s West Side Story (Clarice), Sunday in the Park with George, and even played a rose-hoarding nun “Suor Osmina” in the chorus of Suor Angelica during LOT’s Puccini Double Bill. Other roles include “Optimistic Voice” in The Wizard of Oz, “Lucinda” ITW, Doo-wop/Urchin “Chiffon” in Little Shop of Horrors, “By my Side” Soloist in Godspell, and was seen a few times as the “Fairy Godmother” in R&H’s Cinderella at the Herberger Theater through Valley Youth Theatre.
Last fall, Lindsey performed in a concert reading of a new musicalPLOPby Damon Intrabartolo, and last spring performed in a cabaret honoring Justice Sandra Day O’Connor at an ‘O’Connor House’Banquet.
In addition to live performance, Ms. Geroux has been heard on the radio in “London Gold” Christmas, as well as“Massage Envy”Jingles; both premiering in 2007 and playing for several years (Big U Music Sound Design).
Although she truly jumped in head-first upon arrival onto the music/theatre scene in college, Lindsey dabbled a bit in the arts beforehand, through after-school musicals at Kyrene Middle School, and having been selected to perform in the Arizona All-State Show and Jazz choirs, as well as in choirs at Corona del Sol High School...and would like to thank her mother for forcing her to take said ‘Choir’ as a freshman instead of ‘Yearbook’; as well as thank the rest of her family and friends for their support and enthusiasm!
