2013 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist, Vadym Kohlodenko Makes His Phoenix Symphony Debut
PHOENIX – The Phoenix Symphony continues the Scottsdale Series and Classics Series with Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and the 2013 Van Cliburn Gold Medalist, Vadym Kohlodenko, January 8 at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and January 9 and 10 at Symphony Hall. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m.
Kohlodenko makes his Phoenix Symphony debut with an unforgettable performance of Prokofiev’s grand and lyrical Second Piano Concerto.
Acclaimed for his “absorbing musical shadings” and artistic depth, Kholodenko delivers an unforgettable performance of Prokofiev’s grand and lyrical second piano concerto. This program also features Brahms’ impassioned and intense Symphony No. 3 in F Major, considered his most nearly perfect artistic creation.
James Feddeck Conducts the program for the evening, which includes, Shostakovich: Festive Overture, Op. 96, Prokofiev: Piano Concerto No. 2 in G minor for Piano and Orchestra, Op. 16 and Brahms: Symphony No. 3 in F Major, Op. 90.
