The Phoenix Symphony Brings the Gift of Music to Children and the Less Fortunate This Thanksgiving

  • Who: The Phoenix Symphony, Archway Classical Academy Veritas, Veritas Preparatory Academy, and homeless shelters and resource centers throughout the valley

  • What:  The Phoenix Symphony will bring the gift of music to children as a part of its community and education engagement programs this Thanksgiving.  At Archway Classical Academy Veritas and Veritas Preparatory Academy, The Phoenix Symphony will play music from Swan Lake, The Nutcraker and The Seasons for students in kindergarten to 8th grade.

    The Phoenix Symphony will also visit the less fortunate as a part of its health and wellness program, B-Sharp Music Wellness: a W.O.N.D.E.R. Project Homeless Initiative.
     

    A string quartet led by The Phoenix Symphony’s Acting Principal Cellist, Peter Anderegg, will host performances at Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development, Lodestar Day Resource Center, and Circle the City.  An ensemble led by The Phoenix Symphony’s Principal Clarinetist, Alexander Laing, will perform at UMOM New Day Centers.

    10:30 a.m. Veritas Preparatory Academy
    9:00 a.m.Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development
    1:00 p.m.  Lodestar Day Resource Center
    7:00 p.m.  Circle the City

    November 25: 6:00 p.m.  UMOM New Day Centers
