The Phoenix Symphony Welcomes Avondale Toyota Scion As 2014/15 Classics Series Title Sponsor

PHOENIX –Avondale Toyota Scion is proud to partner with The Phoenix Symphony and become the title sponsor of the 2014/15 Classics Series. The Classics Series is the pillar of The Phoenix Symphony’s season and includes 12 concerts this season performed at Phoenix Symphony Hall, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts and Yavapai College Performing Arts Center.

“We welcome Avondale Toyota Scion as a sponsor and thank them for investing in our organization’s educational mission and the local economy,” said Jim Ward, President and CEO of The Phoenix Symphony. “We’re presenting an exciting season of Classics with Tito Muñoz as our new Virginia G. Piper Director of Music and Avondale Toyota’s support allows The Phoenix Symphony to continue be a national leader in classical music.”

“As an Arizona-based and family-owned business, Avondale Toyota Scion is proud to support The Phoenix Symphony,” General Manager Rob Ginis said. “The Symphony is a cultural jewel in this desert, and Arizona’s leader in music education. We are pleased to align with an organization whose values match what is important for Arizona.”

Since 1947, The Phoenix Symphony has played world class classical music throughout Arizona. As Arizona’s only full-time orchestra, The Phoenix Symphony serves the valley with music during a 38 week season spanning from September to June. The Symphony’s repertoire has grown to include pops, special events, family concerts, and crossover genre concerts.

Upcoming concerts in the Avondale Toyota Scion Classics Series include Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 “New World Symphony” on November 28 and 29. The Avondale Toyota Classic Series continues with six additional concerts through May of 2015. The Symphony performs for more than 120,000 students and children, helping to introduce music to new generations through a variety of education and youth-engagement programs.
