The Phoenix Symphony Celebrates Contemporary Music with REVERB

The Phoenix Symphony will launch the inaugural presentation of REVERB: a Contemporary Music Festival, which celebrates newly composed music through the eyes (and ears) of 12 of contemporary classical music’s most respected living composers and performers in two fast-paced, musically accessible concerts. The performances will take place over two evenings on Wednesday, April 6 and and Friday, April 8, at Central United Methodist Church, 1875 North Central Avenue, Phoenix.

New Gift from Thunderbirds Charities Allows The Phoenix Symphony to Expand Successful Educational Outreach Program

The Phoenix Symphony is proud to announce a recent $15,000 grant initiative from Thunderbirds Charities – the hosts of the Waste Management Phoenix Open – towards their Mind Over Music™ program. This generous gift from Thunderbirds Charities exemplifies their mission to assist children and families and improve the quality of life in the State of Arizona. The funds from this gift will enable The Phoenix Symphony to reach additional students and schools by bringing music concepts to classrooms paired alongside Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.

SYMPHNY Features Space-Themed Music

On May 24, the Phoenix Symphony under the baton of Virginia G. Piper Music Director Tito Muñoz joined forces with the team at True North Studio to transform the MonOrchid, a historic Roosevelt Row warehouse, into a satellite concert hall for the premiere of the SYMPHNY series. The sold-out audience of 200, along with more than 70 musicians, packed the venue.
