The Phoenix Symphony is fortunate to have a dedicated patron in Ken Council, CPA/PFS, President of CPA Advisory Services, P.C. A supporter of the Symphony since 2010 and a subscriber since 2015, Ken’s passion for music is deeply rooted in his life. As a talented musician who plays piano, organ, and guitar—and once served as a pipe organist at his church in the Midwest—Ken’s love for music is personal and enduring.
Ken is more than an enthusiastic audience member; he is also a champion of the Symphony’s mission and work beyond the stage. He recognizes the vital role of the Symphony’s education programs in fostering a love of music in the community, praising them as both important and effective. He has also developed friendships with several of the Symphony’s musicians, further deepening his connection to our organization.
As a financial expert, Ken has a keen awareness of the challenges facing orchestras today. He understands that ticket sales alone are not sufficient to sustain the Symphony’s operations and is committed to supporting the organization’s financial health. “This is such an exciting time for the Phoenix Symphony as you embark on the search for a new music director,” he shared.
Ken has a particular fondness for the variety offered in Pops performances and hopes the new music director will embrace programming that broadens the audience and showcases the Symphony’s versatility. He frequently invites friends and colleagues unfamiliar with symphonic music to join him at concerts, finding joy in introducing them to the power and beauty of the orchestra.
We are grateful for Ken’s enduring support, thoughtful advocacy, and passion for the Symphony’s mission. His dedication helps ensure that the Phoenix Symphony will continue to enrich lives and inspire our community for generations to come.
