Dear Friends,
This is a time of progress and promise for The Phoenix Symphony, and we look forward with anticipation to our 2025-26 Season. The breadth and variety reflect our dynamic and vibrant community. Filled with classical, popular, film, holiday, and family performances, a thrilling season lies ahead.
The season opens with amazing performances that will set the tone for the coming year. These inaugural concerts of our newly named Jeanne L. Herberger Classical Series will be a defining moment for the Symphony and our community.
On October 11, the Symphony Gala returns, with Danny Elfman joining us for an exclusive performance that honors the iconic music of Tim Burton’s films. This will be a remarkable evening celebrating the transformative power of music.
Last April, we launched CRESCENDO: The Campaign for The Phoenix Symphony. We are deeply grateful for the visionary generosity and steadfast support of friends of the Symphony. The early progress reflects the belief and commitment of many, as conversations continue at this pivotal moment.
As we look ahead, I miss the counsel of Laura R. Grafman, an extraordinary leader whose passing this year leaves a deep absence in our community. Laura was a mentor and friend who reinforced the power of careful listening and how this simple act can lead to the magic of meeting needs and changing lives. We are honored to share this special video and invite you to view it here.
Our Symphony serves Phoenix and Arizona both on and off the stage. Our extensive Community Engagement & Education programs reach more than 100,000 Arizonans each year, engaging multiple generations through education, health & wellness initiatives, Mind Over Music®, and more. They represent the best of what a modern orchestra can be and are increasingly recognized as a national model.
This is your orchestra, and we are moving forward together as the search for our next Virginia G. Piper Music Director continues. I invite you to visit our website to learn more about your Symphony and to meet our musicians, Board of Directors, Foundation Board, and staff.
If you have thoughts or suggestions, I’d welcome hearing from you. I look forward to seeing you at the Symphony.
Sincerely,

Peter Kjome
President and CEO
