The program also features Verdi’s powerful Overture to La forza del destinyThe Force of Destiny, and the world premiere of Symphony No. 5 by Daron Hagen, recipient of the 2014 American Academy of Arts and Letters Award, a work commissioned specifically for performance by The Phoenix Symphony Commissioning Club.
