Dear Friends,
All of us at The Phoenix Symphony are deeply saddened by the passing of Andrea Tyler Evans. Andrea was someone who brought people together, lifted others up, and quietly made our community better in countless ways.
She had a meaningful connection to the Symphony. Early in her career, Andrea served as our volunteer and event manager and continued to attend concerts regularly. She brought care, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose to her work. There is great appreciation for her steady presence and ability to make every person feel genuinely seen and appreciated.

Andrea went on to become a trusted voice in Arizona’s nonprofit and philanthropic community. Through Frontdoors Media, she helped share stories that mattered and offered encouragement at moments when it made a difference. Her writing, her relationships, and her generosity of spirit helped others see what was possible.
She also gave her time freely, serving on boards, supporting events, and helping causes she believed in build new connections. Many of us saw how one kind word or quiet introduction from Andrea could help move something important forward.
Her deep Arizona roots, shaped in part by her time at Arizona State University and her involvement with Valley Leadership, were reflected in the way she showed up for this community. Even as she faced a long and difficult health journey, she remained focused on what she loved and continued to lead with strength and grace.
We are grateful for the time we shared with her and for the way she touched this organization. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Andrea’s family, her many friends, and the entire Frontdoors team. Her legacy, and all that she gave to our community, will continue to inspire us.
With sympathy and appreciation,
Peter Kjome
