In homage to the “Queen of Tejano Music”

PHOENIX (March 18, 2025) – In homage to the “Queen of Tejano Music,” The Phoenix Symphony under the direction of Phoenix-favorite Stuart Chafetz, brings the iconic music of Selena to life backed by your full, world-class Phoenix Symphony orchestra. The Music of Selena is part of the APS Phoenix Pops Series on April 5 & 6 at the historic Orpheum Theatre with sensational vocalist Isabel Marie Sanchez.

An acclaimed young recording artist, vocalist, and experienced performer, Isabel is known for her powerful vocals and wide range and has been featured on many local and international television shows including “La Voz kids” (NBC) – Season 3, where she received a 3-chair turn and standing ovation from all the judges as well as the audience. Isabel was honored to be chosen and personally asked by the Quintanilla Family to perform Selena’s hit “No Me Queda Mas” at the 35th Annual Tejano Music Awards 2015. Isabel was also invited to be one of two artists chosen to perform for the official Selena MAC- Worldwide makeup Launch in Corpus Christi, TX. At the 2023 Tejano Music Awards, Sanchez was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, while “Ahora Que Ya Eres Feliz” was nominated for the Tejano Music Award for Song of the Year.

Sanchez will perform Selena’s iconic hits like “Dreaming of You,” “No Me Queda Más,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” and many more. Audiences can enjoy drinks and activities in the lobby prior to the performance. The Phoenix Symphony encourages concertgoers to dress up in their favorite Selena inspired style.

The Music of Selena is an unforgettable and emotional tribute to music of beloved singer Selena, “The Queen of Tejano Music.”

The Music of Selena takes place at the Orpheum Theatre on April 5 & 6, 2025.
