Phoenix Symphony joins in Classical Mystery Tour Beatles tribute

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see the Beatles playing with a symphony orchestra?

You can get a taste of it Friday night at Phoenix Symphony Hall.

It’s an evening with a group called the Classical Mystery Tour.

“They are one of the premier Beatles tribute bands. They look and sound just like the Beatles,” said Todd Vigil, the marketing director for the Phoenix Symphony. “They’ll be performing with the full Phoenix Symphony this Friday night at 7:30 p.m. The great thing about Classical Mystery Tour is that most of their scores are performed exactly as they were originally recorded, so these are original orchestrations performed with a full Phoenix Symphony.”

Vigil said you will hear several of your favorite Beatles songs.

“’Come Together,’ ‘Eleanor Rigby,’ ‘Magical Mystery Tour,’ ‘Penny Lane’ and ‘Yellow Submarine’ (are just a few of the songs that will be played),” said Vigil.

The Los Angeles Times calls the Classical Mystery Tour an “incredible simulation.”

“We like to say that the goosebump factor in this show is very high,” Vigil said. “People are going to have a great time singing and dancing in the aisles and enjoying Classic Beatles music with the Phoenix Symphony.”
Tickets are available on the Phoenix Symphony’s website.
