NEW - Bring Your Students to an Open Rehearsal

Students and teachers are invited for a unique, behind-the-scenes opportunity to watch The Phoenix Symphony Musicians at work during a rehearsal. Observe how a professional orchestra works and prepares for a concert. Before the rehearsal, the students participate in a Q&A session with musicians. Field trip dates listed below.

FIELD TRIP AGENDA (Approximately 90 minutes):

  • 9:15 a.m. – Arrive to Performance Venue
  • 9:30 a.m. – Q&A with Symphony Musicians
  • 10:00 a.m. – Rehearsal

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • As a courtesy to the musicians, please arrive early and be seated prior to the start of the rehearsal. All open rehearsals are “working” rehearsals and therefore the program or pieces may not be played in its entirety.
  • Concerts are for any type of public, private, charter, parochial, home school or alternative education group.
  • Regular admission is $3 for students and adults (adults include teachers, parents, chaperones, and all other non-students) OR for schools designated Title 1 by the AZ Department of Education; admission is $1 for students and $3 for adults.
  • Seating is general admission. Reservations are a first-come, first-serve basis.
