Local Award-Winning Chef, Christopher Collins, to Serve as the Luncheon’s Chef

PHOENIX (November 18, 2024) – The Phoenix Symphony is thrilled to announce the return of a cherished community event: the 2025 Savor the Symphony luncheon, which offers guests the experience to eavesdrop on a Phoenix Symphony rehearsal for Simply the Best: The Music of Tina Turner followed by a specially curated luncheon. This unique event will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at Symphony Hall.

The luncheon will be crafted by Christopher Collins, CEO/Owner and Executive Chef for Common Ground Culinary, whose restaurants include Collins Brothers Public House, Grassroots Kitchen & Tap, Wally’s American Gastropub, Sweet Provisions, The Collins Small Batch Kitchen, The Macintosh, The Neighborly and Arcadia Catering Company. Chris’ menu is sure to offer a culinary experience to complement the extraordinary musical performance.

As one of the Symphony’s signature events, Savor the Symphony provides guests with exclusive access to watch an orchestra rehearsal, meet guest artists, and enjoy a luncheon specially created by one of the Valley’s preeminent chefs. This event has consistently sold out in previous years, making it a highly anticipated occasion.

The 2025 Savor the Symphony attendees will meet guest artist Tamika Lawrence, Phoenix native and vocalist for Simply the Best, guest Phoenix Pops conductor and local favorite Stuart Chafetz, along with Musicians of your very own Phoenix Symphony. Proceeds from the event will support the Symphony’s mission to provide extraordinary musical experiences that inspire and advance our community, enriching the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds.

“Serving our diverse community is a foundational component of the Phoenix Symphony’s mission, providing greater access to extraordinary musical experiences for the people of Phoenix and Arizona,” said Peter Kjome, Phoenix Symphony President and CEO. “We are excited for Savor the Symphony luncheon attendees to meet Phoenix native Tamika Lawrence and conductor Stuart Chafetz along with our musicians. It will be a memorable experience!”

The 2025 Savor the Symphony will be chaired by Jenny Holsman Tetreault, recipient of the 2024 Phoenix ATHENA award, and a business and community leader who also serves on the Symphony’s Board of Directors. This year’s live auction, benefiting Symphony programs, will be hosted by Anna Aja, a third-generation auctioneer and advocate for the Phoenix Symphony.
