Buyer Beware: How to Avoid Ticket Scams & Save Money

February 8, 2024

When purchasing tickets online, patrons can unknowingly run into a costly encounter with a third-party ticket seller. These sites will offer Phoenix Symphony and other event tickets at double, triple or even quadruple the actual cost. Sometimes they make it look like there are only a few seats left at a performance, which entices the buyer to act fast, even if they are paying extremely high prices.  The Phoenix Symphony is the only authorized seller of Phoenix Symphony tickets.

Third-party ticket sellers do not just cost you money, they could also sell you invalid tickets that do not exist in our database or that are listed under a different name. This can make it impossible for you to enter the performance or to take advantage of our ticket exchange policy. Sometimes, patrons who bought from third-party sellers never received their tickets despite paying extremely high prices.  In these instances, we are unable to replace the tickets because they were sold through a third party.

The cost of tickets for our highest-priced concerts does not exceed $103 per seat (before fees) and our seat prices range from $25 to $93 for most of our concerts. Our fees are only $10 per ticket online and $13 over the phone or in person. If you are being charged higher fees, check the website address and verify that you are purchasing from tickets.phoenixsymphony.org.

The only authorized ticket-selling website is https://tickets.phoenixsymphony.org.

Please call our box office at 602-495-1999 Monday – Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm with any questions.

The Phoenix Symphony is grateful for the continued support of our dedicated patrons and donors. Please be mindful of potential ticket scams.
