Daily Independent: Phoenix Symphony brings classics to Mesa Arts Center

The Phoenix Symphony has announced its classics performances at Mesa Arts Center’s Ikeda Theater on Friday nights through March 22.

The performances will be conducted by Virginia G. Piper Music Director Tito Muñoz, who is completing his 10th and final season in Phoenix, as well as guest conductors.

“As part of our desire to increase the accessibility of the Phoenix Symphony, we are proud to offer these concerts at the Mesa Arts Center this year,” Muñoz said.

The performances:

    • Nov. 17- Mature Masterpieces by Mozart & Rachmaninoff
    • Jan. 5 – Tchaikovsky’s “Pathétique”
    • Feb. 2 – Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez
    • March 8 – Rachmaninoff & Dvořák
    • March 22 – Strauss & Beethoven
