Larry Fitzgerald to Conduct Phoenix Symphony Orchestra

Being arguably the best wide receiver in the NFL and earning the praise of esteemed colleagues is just not enough for Larry Fitzgerald. Sometimes you need a new challenge. And Fitzgerald will have just that when he conducts the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra’s performance of the national anthem on September 20.

The Pro Bowl receiver is taking his new role seriously.

“I’ve been watching YouTube videos of conductors late into the night to see what they actually do. I don’t want to make a fool of myself.

“I don’t want to be dramatic, because I don’t want the attention on me. “I want the focus to be on them. They’re the professionals, and they’re amazing at what they do. I’m lucky they’d want someone like me.”

Fitzgerald is further demonstrating that he is truly a renaissance man, already known for his community efforts and his passion for photography. What will he do next for an encore?
