OperaWire: Phoenix Symphony Announces 2024-25 Season

The Phoenix Symphony has unveiled its 2024-25 season. Here is a rundown of the vocal performances on offer.

The Phoenix Symphony Chorus joins the orchestra in a “Holiday Pops” showcase. Lawrence Loh conducts.

Performance Dates: Nov. 29 – Dec. 1, 2024

For Händel’s “Messiah,” audiences will see conductor Patrick Dupré Quigley lead such soloists as Kathryn Mueller, Stephanie Sanchez, Joshua Blue, and Joshua Conyers.

Performance Dates: Dec. 12-15, 2024

Then comes “Christmas with Brass & Chorus,” which features Britten’s “Ceremony of Carols” and John Rutter’s “Gloria.”

Performance Dates: Dec. 20-22, 2024

Tito Muñoz conducts Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony.

Performance Dates: April 25-27, 2025
